This is so helpful, thank you for explaining, am grateful. My cat periodically does the wheezing (lasts 5 to 30 seconds) and I always worried he had asthma or a heart condition, but medical tests never showed anything.  He is brushed daily and hasn’t had hairball issues.  The occasional brief wheezing finally makes sense!

Thank you for this! I started feeding my cats raw food about eight months ago and I have noticed a lot less vomiting than there used to be when they were on kibble. What you said makes so much sense especially when you consider what they'd be eating in the wild and how they are able to handle that diet.
